Just through the gate from the pool area, and you're on Tigertail Beach, the northern part of Marco's lovely Crescent Beach. Swim in the calm waters of the Gulf as the pelicans dive for fish. Dolphins are often seen within yards of the shoreline too. You can stroll along the sand bar leading to the north and comb the beach for shells. Alternatively, you may choose to walk south towards Cape Marco.
Rentals of cabanas, windsurfers and small water craft are available at Tigertail Beach, as well as sales of food and drink. Motor boats and waverunners can be hired from nearby marinas.
Many Water sports operators provide guided Waverunner tours through nearby mangrove islands with information on the mangrove estuary and its inhabitants, including bottlenose dolphins, manatees, sea otters, alligators, crocodiles, wood storks, brown and white pelicans, roseate spoonbills, herons, egrets and more.
